Primary Duties:

  • Daily communication with drivers
  • Manage your own driver group and possess necessary leadership to succeed under pressure
  • Help drivers meet or exceed their weekly and daily revenue goals
  • Work extensively with customer service to ensure issues are addressed
  • Driver Manager has complete ownership of success and profitability of all drivers on his/her board.
  • Must be able to work both day and night shifts

  • Fundamental knowledge of TMW preferred.

Additionally the Driver Manager will properly dispatch drivers on their planned loads, ensuring driver is fully informed of all pertinent information and has received all load messages/load assignments via PeopleNet; utilize PeopleNet Fleet Manager (PFM) to monitor trucks in real time, confirming drivers are on schedule and update loads accordingly; utilize the onboard GPS, reports, map and driver eLogs features on the PFM to make sure drivers are adhering to FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations; act as driver’s primary point of contact and work to anticipate, identify and resolve issue; utilize TMW Suite programs to assign and dispatch loads, and track progress of drivers in completion of assigned loads and other relevant tasks; work closely with Customer Service and Load Planner to ensure the freight being booked and the position/availability of designated resources are compatible and review settlements and payroll of drivers in the fleet to identify strategies that will help to increase profitability/income.

A partial list of job responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll including company driver and owner operator settlements through TMW software and Great Plains payroll/payables module
  • Prepare direct deposit ACH batches for upload to banking software
  • Maintain all payroll databases including new hires, terminations and PTO
  • Prepare W-2 and 1099 information at year end
  • Aid in monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain ACH files for monthly payables and loan processing
  • Reconcile GL accounts as assigned
  • Backup Payables and Billing functions as required.

TMW and Great Plains experience is preferred.

Job Description

  • Prepare complete and accurate billing invoices and distribute to customers.
  • Communicate effectively within the Company to resolve invoicing issues.
  • Verify and process invoices including obtaining proper approval and proper general ledger coding.
  • Create weekly disbursement files for approval; print and prepare vouchers for check signing.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of vendor files.
  • Assist with other projects or assignments as needed.
  • Maintain files and related documentation in an organized manner.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Organized and self-directed with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Manage paperwork to ensure it has been handed in by drivers.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in accounts payable is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, creativity and analytical skills.

Requirements for the Body Shop Technician position:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)

Diesel Mechanic experience a plus

  • Must pass background & criminal records check, physical exam and drug screen
  • Must provide own hand tools
  • Minimum of 1 years body work experience in truck or auto

Responsibilities:

  • Body and mechanical repairs on medium and heavy duty trucks and trailers, including fiberglass, plastics, aluminum & sheet metal
  • Trailer repair experience highly desirable

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus – Dependent on Experience

Essential Functions

  • Diesel Tractor Mechanic will conduct Preventative Maintenance on Commercial Motor Vehicles to include changing oil, oil filters, replacing belts, lubricating parts as needed, and conducting periodic inspections as described in FMCSA regulations and either making necessary repairs or referring the problems to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Diesel Tractor Mechanic must be able to make basic repairs as directed by the Director of Maintenance or Shop Foreman
  • Change tires of tractor or trailer using the procedures dictated by the Director of Maintenance
  • Diesel Tractor Mechanic will replace lights and fuses, fix wiring problems, and troubleshooting basic electrical issues
  • Repair and Replace parts of the brake system
  • Troubleshooting basic PeopleNet issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Tractor Trailer Mechanic experience required
  • Must be independent and self-directive toward task completion
  • Willingness to train to become comfortable with prioritizing demands and additional responsibilities
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Experience working on Volvo and Detroit 60 series motors required
  • Prior experience utilizing hand tools, pneumatic tools, torches, grinders, welders, crowbars, and other tools as directed
  • Must be familiar with the major components, operations, and repair of diesel engines
  • Possession of a Class A CDL and ability to safely operate a CMV is preferred, but not required
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a certification to conduct PA State Inspections on CMVs
  • Familiarity with OSHA rules of workplace safety
